Step 5: Walk-Throughs & Orientations

Prior to Rough-Ins:  Soon after your home is framed your builder or design consultant will contact you to meet at the home.  The purpose of this meeting is to:

  • See your home before the walls are covered
  • Verify that all options are as ordered
  • Answer additional questions you may have about the construction of your new home
  • Mark any specific locations for light fixtures or outlets prior to electrical rough-in

Walk-through:  Approximately one week prior to closing your job superintendent will contact you to inspect your home.  A room by room walk-through will be conducted with any concerns noted and addressed.

Home Orientation:  Prior to moving in to your new home, you will receive a home orientation to get you acquainted with your new home features.  This home orientation will cover all aspects of your new home from the foundation to the roof and serve as a review of your home warranty.
